Ever since the “GateChain Recap of 2020” where we announced our plans to launch our very own virtual machine allowing developers to create decentralized applications, there has been an overwhelming amount of questions and positive feedback! Today we are pleased to announce that GateChain’s new Testnet ~Meteora~ is ready for public testing. Meteora features Gatechain smart contract modules and EVM compatibility!
Facilitating Ethereum users and developers deploy their contracts on Gatechain at zero cost, we expanded the original Gatechain account system to include an EVM-Account type. An EVM Account is similar to a native Ethereum account in use case, format, and security. You can even log on GateChain directly with your Ethereum account getting access to GateChain’s EVM, without needing to create a new account.
Besides simplicity and convenience, GateChain is also characterized by an unparalleled level of security. Transactions can occur directly between GateChain vault accounts and EVM-accounts, accessing innovative features such as retrievable transactions and a clearing!
GateChain-EVM: EVM compatibility ~ any smart contract that is running on Ethereum can be seamlessly ported to GateChain. Any Ethereum eco-products such as MetaMask and developer tools such as Remix can easily be connected to GateChain.
It is an inhouse product different from trade-off solutions that most public chains use to enable interoperability: GateChain-EVM is native to the mainnet enabling costless & scalable smart contract interactions.
GT is the fuel for GateChain’s mainnet and will also be used to pay for GAS fees on the GateChain-EVM.
After Meteora’s public test phase, GateChain’s mainnet will officially support the EVM. Hipo Defi will be upgraded to include global cross-chain asset support, security solutions, swaps, yield farming, lending, and more. We welcome everyone to try out all the exciting features and experiment to build a better crypto world on GateChain.
