What is GateChain?

GateChain is a public blockchain dedicated to blockchain assets safety and decentralized exchange.

With GateChain’s newly invented onchain-safety-account and customizable-time–delay-recovery feature, users can be guaranteed with better blockchain asset safety, even after the leakage or destruction of the private keys.

What is Gatechain Token (GT)?

GateChain Token (GT) is the native token of the
GateChain mainnet.

GT is used to pay the transaction gas on GateChain
main net.

GT is the rewards for PoS mining.

GT is also part of Gate.io ecosystem.

What is the core value of GateChain and why is it different?

Apart from the DEX it provides, GateChain creatively solves two safety issues, including :
-1) how to recover stolen digital assets
-2) how to find lost private keys. We believe those two issues are not
solved by other public blockchains.

We would reveal more details when the GateChain Main net is launched.
We would also make it open source to benefit users and the community.

What’s GT supply? How is GT distributed?

GT supply will reach 1 billion after 10 Years.
— 300 million for the distribution to Gate.io users as
rewards.
— 200 million for development (linear release in 10 years
after 12 months lock-up).
— 100 million for marketing (linear release in 10 years
after 12 months lock-up).
— 200 million for ecosystem (linear release in 10 years
after 12 months lock-up).
— 200 million for PoS rewards in 10 years with 2.5%
average annual inflation rate.

Why is the initial amount of GT 300 million, but end up being 1 billion after ten years?

Users have doubted about our distribution mechanism, regarding maximum supply and low circulating supply in particular.

— Different from other platforms, we believe it can
benefit both the platform and the users in the long run.
The 300 million GT will be entirely distributed to users,
with no ICO or private sales.
— The remaining GT will be locked up for 12 months and
distributed in 10 years, so that the funds can be slowly
released to support our projects throughout the future.
